Hi! My name’s Laura Navajas, I’m from Cordoba, and I’m 15 years old.
How would you describe yourself?
I’d describe myself as a polite, creative, and kind of introvert person. Even though I like spending time on my own reading or drawing, I also love hanging out with my friends.
Is this your first time in England?
Yes! I’m really exited about being here, because I’ve always wanted to travel to this place.
What is your favourite quote?
“In life be a warrior, not a worrier” I love it because I usually over-think everything that happens in my life, so I try to remember this quote to remind myself to not worry too much and just be prepared to fight against problems when they come.
What are your hobbies?
I have tons of hobbies now that I think of it, but I’ll just tell you about what I usually do during the week. Volleyball is my favourite sport of all time; I play in my school’s team as a setter, and I’m also the captain. Another thing I love doing is horse-back riding, along with spending time with my mare. I also love drawing, singing and baking, but I’m afraid I haven’t had time to do these recently.
What is your biggest fear?
I think the worst thing that can ever happen to me is to wake up one day in bed, home alone and 80 years old, discovering I’ve wasted my whole life doing nothing. That’s the reason why I try to keep myself healthy, exercising every day, learning new things and pushing myself out of my comfort zone, to live new experiences.
If you could have a drink with someone from history, who would it be?
I’d love to share a nice Cola Cao with Rosa Parks. It’d be awesome to ask her about the day she was arrested because of her “rebel” behaviour. I’d like to ask her where she got all that strength to face those men and how she dealt with the situation.
